Child and Family Therapist, Bilingual English/Spanish or English-speaking (position still open)
We are seeking an experienced child and family therapist to join our staff serving the children and families in West Contra Costa County. Responsibilities include psychodynamic play therapy, collateral work with parents and families, and home-based infant-parent and child-parent therapy. We offer supervision toward a clinical license, a collegial environment, and training and support for professional growth and development. This is a salaried full-time position and offers an excellent benefits package.
Specific requirements are a Master's Degree or PhD in social work or psychology (license preferred); a minimum of one year of supervised clinical experience with children and families; strong clinical skills; knowledge of child development, psychodynamic, and attachment theory; and excellent communication skills. Bicultural Spanish-speaking applicants are of great interest to join our team of Spanish-speaking Child Therapists.

Teacher/Therapist in Comprehensive Therapeutic Nursery (positions now filled; see open position above)
TEACHER/THERAPIST in our Comprehensive Therapeutic Nursery, a full-time, salaried position, is an ideal job for the college graduate who is considering a career as a licensed child therapist or an early childhood special educator. Our Teacher/Therapists are part of a clinical team of three working with 9 seriously emotionally disturbed preschool children in a therapeutic milieu/classroom setting 3 hours per day. When not providing direct service, Teacher/Therapists participate in treatment planning and case conferences, plan therapeutic curriculum, maintain the center according to California Child Care Licensing standards, and document children’s progress according to MediCal standards. Although challenging, this position provides intellectually stimulating, satisfying work and an outstanding training opportunity. Employees who are bilingual in Spanish receive a generous stipend.
