"[This is] one of the few agencies in California where you can learn how home-visiting infant psychotherapy is done. Excellent supervision."

At Early Childhood Mental Health Program, you will work with highly qualified professional colleagues in a respected agency providing a variety of mental health services for young children and families as well as mental health consultation to child care providers.

Opportunities are available here for clinicians and for administrative and clerical personnel.

Clinicians may be licensed or license-eligible. Supervision toward licensure is provided. Positions (full-time and part-time) are salaried and offer competitive pay, fully paid medical, dental, and other insurance, generous personal leave, and training opportunities.

Early Childhood strongly encourages bilingual, bicultural candidates to apply. An additional stipend is paid to employees who are fluent in Spanish.

Because home-based and community work is important at Early Childhood, applicants for most clinical positions must have a reliable car, a California operator's license, an acceptable DMV record, and automobile insurance.

You may read about the positions available now in Positions on this site. Positions are also advertised on craigslist.com.

You may submit your resume, WITH A COVER LETTER, by e-mail, U.S. mail, or FAX. Applications without a cover letter are not considered. Go to Contact Us for addresses. We will send a packet of information. Please do not call about positions.

If you are an upper-level undergraduate in a local college or university who is planning to be a child therapist, you may want to inquire about volunteering in our classroom program. Only a few volunteers are accepted each year. Requirements are stringent, but you will receive an intensive training in working with emotionally disturbed preschool children.
